A little more than a year ago the members of Allstar Weekend – Zach, Cameron, Nathan and Michael – were passing out flyers outside the premiere of Jonas Bothers: The 3-D Concert Experience, hoping to be discovered. Today, after a whirlwind year of writing, recording, and touring, the band is releasing their debut album Suddenly on Hollywood Records.
Citing influences from from Blink 182 to Prince, Allstar Weekend enlisted the help of three heavy-hitting producers to capture their sound: Howard Benson (Daughtry, My Chemical Romance), John Feldmann (Goldfinger, Good Charlotte), and S*A*M & Sluggo (Cobra Starship, Metro Station). High energy pop-punk from start to finish, Suddenly is already #5 on the iTunes Rock Chart and features the smash singles “A Different Side of Me,” which hit number one on the Radio Disney Countdown, and “Dance Forever,” the video for which debuted at number two on the iTunes video chart.
We were super pumped that the adorable Nathan, Cameron, Michael and Zach could chat with us about some of their favorite things on the day their debut album hit stores. Check out what they had to say below, and be sure to pick up Suddenly on iTunes.
The song you’re most proud of?
Nathan: . I would say that I’m the most proud of the song “Dance Forever”. We’ve had that song for about 3 years, and it was written in my bedroom when i was 16 years old.
Cameron: I am most proud of the song Dance Forever. That song has been a part of the band for almost three years now and in my opinion it is still one of our greatest songs to date!
Michael: A Different Side of Me
Zach: The song I’m most proud of on Suddenly is “Amy”. It’s the song that made my dad a believer.
Best concert you’ve ever been to?
Nathan: The best concert I’ve been to was the Robert Plant concert(my first concert) in downtown San Diego.
Cameron: I’ve been to so many great concerts it’s really hard to pick out just one to call my favorite, but I can tell you about two that I really enjoyed. Number one is Jack Jonhson, I went with my dad and it was at the Cricket Wireless amphitheater in San Diego, and number two was Taylor Swift at the Staples Center in LA. My manager took me to that one for my birthday two years ago and it was a GREAT show.
Michael: Usher
Zach: The Format at Soma San Diego on their Dog Problems tour… amazing.
Your favorite thing to do on a rainy day is?
Nathan: My favorite thing to do on a rainy day, is to write on an acoustic guitar in my room.
Cameron: My favorite thing to do on a rainy day is stay inside and read a good book or watch a movie with the family.
Michael: Stay in, open the windows, relax, and listen to the rain
Zach: Read, watch movies, and write songs
The album you’ve got on repeat?
Nathan: The album I have on repeat is, MGMT’s brand new album “Congratulations”.
Cameron: Lately I’ve been listening to the album “Losing Sleep” by Parachute
Michael: Drake – Thank Me Later
Zach: Jewel’s new album. I think it’s called “Sweet and Wild”.
What movie could you watch a thousand times?
Nathan: The movie that I could watch a thousand times is, “Almost Famous”.
Cameron: I could easily watch the movie “The Grinch” over and over and over again. Jim Carey ALWAYS cracks me up.
Michael: A Goofy Movie, Iron Giant
Zach: I’ve seen “Garden State” like a million times, and “Lord of the Rings” and “Star Wars” are timeless.
Fav article of clothing in your closet?
Nathan: My favorite article of clothing in my closet, would be my black jacket that i got at Urban Outfitters.
Cameron: My favorite article of clothing in my closet is Commune Jean Jacket, it makes any outfit look amazing.
Michael: Beanie
Zach: T-shirts
What TV show can you not stand to miss?
Nathan: The TV show that i can’t stand to miss is, Entourage.
Cameron: I don’t really watch too much TV so there isn’t really any show that I’m obsessed with right now. However a few months ago LOST was on and I couldn’t stand to miss an episode of that.
Michael: LOST
Zach: LOST… rip
Celeb crush?
Nathan: My celebrity crush is, Zooey Deshanel.
Cameron: My celebrity crush is Blake Lively
Michael: Jessica Alba, Keri Hilson
Zach: Evangeline Lilly
Whose style do you love?
Nathan: I love Lenny Kravitz’s style.
Cameron: I love Zach Efron’s style
Michael: Trey Songz
Zach: Clothes, music, what?
One thing you can’t live without?
Nathan: The one thing i can’t live without is, music.
Cameron: I can’t live without water. I usually drink around 8-10 bottles a day.
Michael: My phone
Zach: Day and night
Best/worst rumor you’ve heard about yourself…
Nathan: Best rumor that I’ve heard about myself is that i have cool hair.
Cameron: I haven’t really heard any rumors about myself.
Michael: I sleep with my eyes open
Zach: Rumors? nah
Craziest thing you’ve ever done to impress a guy/girl…
Nathan: Craziest thing I’ve ever done to impress a girl, was when i bought a Juicy Couture purse with my own money. And i never spend a lot of money on girls.
Cameron: Fortunately I haven’t done anything too crazy to impress a girl.
Michael: Sang a song to her in front of an audience of people
Zach: Sang to them. It’s way more awkward than singing to an audience.
What are you most excited for this year?
Nathan: The thing I’m most excited for is touring.
Cameron: I’m most excited for touring and meeting new fans 
Michael: Debut album release!
Zach: Touring all over and spreading the word about Allstar Weekend!
first wat you do on a rainy day is go outside and second LOST last season was my life didnt miss one episode and jus to refresh i bought all the seasons all the shows on itunes i miss glee watever watch it on hulu!!!!!!!
