It’s a big week for Chase Coy! The 19-year-old singer/songwriter released his major label debut, Picturesque, on Universal Republic Records. With its acoustic-guitar driven, emotionally resonant songs, Picturesque displays Chase’s gift for classic coming-of-age storytelling and engaging songwriting. iTunes recently named him one of the best new singer-songwriters and featured his song “If The Moon Fell Down” on an iTunes Essentials Rising Stars compilation. A new version of the track will be on the album, recorded as a duet with Grammy-winner Colbie Caillat.
The Greenwood, Indiana native took some time to chat with us about everything from his love for chocolate and crush on Anne Hathaway to his obsession with LOST (we are so sad it’s over now, sad face). Check out what he had to say below and be sure to grab Picturesque on iTunes this week! If you want to catch a live show, Chase is currently on tour with Brendan James.
