Up and coming pop starlet Ashlyne Huff has all the makings of the next big thing; vocal prowess, a gift for song writing and the rhythm to kill it on the dance floor. With the perfect recipe brewing, Ashlyne is looking for 2010 to be her year. This March Ashlyne will embark on her first major tour, a 33 city romp across the States with 2009 breakout artist Honor Society! “I could not be more excited to be on this big US tour with Honor Society and Just Kait. The music will be great all around. The best part will be meeting all the fans in each city and getting to thank them personally for being a part of this journey with me,” Ashlyne said.
We couldn’t be more happy to be just a small part of that journey! And after getting a chance to sit down and chat with her we have a feeling she could be our new BFF (we love Modern Family too!)– you know, if she wasn’t out there being a pop star!!!
The song you’re most proud of…
This is so tough for me! I have to say “sweet nothing” though because it is exactly how I felt that day I broke up with this guy. Normally when you write a song, you take things from other relationships and put them all together to make the best song possible, but this one was different. And once it was written, I felt sweet nothing.
Best concert you’ve ever been to…
Kings of Leon this past fall in Nashville at the Sommet Center. No bells or whistles, just great energy and a perfect performance!
Your favorite thing to do on a rainy day is…
I go back and forth between reading a good novel and writing in my journal. It’s how I keep my thoughts fresh.
The album you’ve got on repeat…
Justin Nozuka’s Holly. I warm up to the album because all his little vocal stylings help get me loose! And I think I fall for him every time –via his voice.
What movie could you watch a thousand times?
My best friend Farmer and I could and have watched Bad Boys II and Prime a thousand times together. And we would throw in a little Wedding Crashers and Old School to round out the collection. What can we say, we like the classics. Haha
Fav beauty product in your makeup bag?
I am not a huge fan of wearing a lot of makeup but I do like Bare Escentuals because it doesn’t feel like you have anything on. Otherwise, I am all about a light lipgloss and I’m ready to go!
What TV show can you not stand to miss?
I’ve become a huge fan of Modern Family. SO funny.
Celeb crush?
Channing “I love you” Tatum
Whose style do you love?
Jennifer Garner. She is also so approachable no matter if she’s on the red carpet or picking up her daughters from school.

Well I hope it’s not a rumor, but I love hearing that people like my songs!
Craziest thing you’ve ever done to impress a guy/girl…
I dressed up for a blind date and regretted immediately! I don’t do dress up dates very well!
What are you most excited for this year?
Starting the Honor Society “Here Comes Trouble” Tour and my album releasing June 22nd!
