It’s been a while since we’ve talked about The Record Life, but that doesn’t mean we have forgotten about this awesome band! The voice behind TRL, Jake Johnson, took the time to answer our Awesome Questionnaire. Check out what he had to say below!
The Souldier EP is available now.
What is the MOST AWESOME…
Song you’ve ever written? I think “Step On Your Own” is probably my personal favorite; but you never know, I might have written some pretty awesome songs when I was 9 or 10, I just can’t remember them. I’m pretty sure one of them was called “Basset Hound Blues.”
Recipe you know by heart? You take a couple pieces of wheat bread and lightly toast them. On one piece, apply a generous helping of peanut butter and spread it around all the way to the edge of the bread. On the other piece, apply an even more generous helping of strawberry jelly. Bon Appetit.
Concert you’ve ever been to? Either Paul McCartney at the Glendale Arena or Death Cab for Cutie at the Marquee Theater. Both were in Arizona. Both were totally awesome.
Date you’ve ever been on? Snowboarding in Northern Arizona for New Years.
Website you visit each day? Twitter.com
Thing to do on a rainy day? That’s easy, get out in the rain. If that’s not your thing, movie days with plenty of cereal are always a good choice. Cinnamon Toast Crunch, Lucky Charms, Fruity Pebbles, Golden Crisps, and Corn Pops are a pretty good start.
CD in your car? Third Eye Blind: A Collection.
Item of clothing in your closet? My Kellogg’s shirt. Leading the way to a great day.
City you’ve ever visited? Either Santa Cruz, CA or Cairns, Australia.
Movie you could watch a thousand times? Heavyweights.
Karaoke song? Brian Dales from The Summer Set and I karaoked “Let It Be” and “Come Together” one time together and those went over pretty well. I guess I’d have to say those. For sure.
Beauty product in your repertoire? My toothbrush.
Event in your life this year? SXSW in Austin was mind-blowing. I’m not done yet, though. I plan on going skydiving by the years’ end. Oh, and this interview.
