Artist Of The Week Poll: OneRepublic vs. The All-American Rejects

Thanks to all who voted in last week’s inaugural poll!

This week we bring you a new challenge between OneRepublic and The All-American Rejects.  Both bands are HUGE favorites at PopAwesome, so we’re not going to be able to vote in this one.  We just love both bands that much.  Let us know who YOU dig!

Challenger 1:  OneRepublic

OneRepublic’s new album Waking Up has a VIP spot in our CD player.  You know those albums that keep getting better with each listen and continue to surprise you even after you’ve owned it for months?  Yeah…that’s how we feel about this awesome sophomore effort from OneRepublic.   You’d think it’d be hard to top their mega-hit, “Apologize,” which became the most legally downloaded song in US digital history!

With standout tracks like “Secrets,” “All This Time,” and current single “All The Right Moves,” Waking Up is 100% PopAwesome approved.

Challenger 2:  The All-American Rejects

We’ll just come out and say it.  Tyson Ritter is H-O-T.  More importantly, he fronts a band that has churned out some of the catchiest tracks of the past decade.  From “Swing, Swing” to “Dirty Little Secret” to “Move Along,” we’re not exactly sure how one band can create so many unforgettable hits.  Did you guys know that “Gives You Hell” was the most played song on Top 40 radio in 2009?

AAR released their latest CD When The World Comes Down over a year ago, and we still feel like it’s brand new.  The title track (our fave) is one of those lovey dovey songs that manages to be insanely sweet without being cheesy.
