When Justin was 12 years old he entered into a local competition in his Canadian hometown called Stratford Idol and won second place. After putting his performances from the competition on YouTube so his family could watch them, Justin was discovered by his manager. The story just keeps getting better because he then had a chance meeting with Usher who ultimately helped him get signed.
