The boys of Green River Ordinance have had an INSANELY busy year with the release of their debut album Out of My Hands and crazy touring schedule that included dates with Gavin DeGraw, Kate Voegele, Jack’s Mannequin and David Cook. GRO recently premiered the video for their uber-catchy single “Come On” and somehow had the time to answer our questions about the holidays, 2009 and what’s to come in 2010. Check out their responses below and be sure to pick up Out of My Hands on iTunes!
One of those tiny remote controlled helicopters. When we were touring with David Cook & The Script, they both had some and they were awesome. I don’t care how old you are, those things are fun!
Definitely my Nintendo 64! This is a video of me opening it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pFlcqWQVVuU
It depends on what it is…If it’s one of those assorted popcorn buckets, not cool. If it’s something that you never used but were too lazy to take back, it’s cool. My extended family actually has a tradition of regifting this XXL pack of underwear from Bangledesh. No one knows who it’s coming to, but someone always gets it.
The whole CD by Hanson called “Snowed In” ….no kidding.
My favorite classic holiday movie is probably A Christmas Story. The runner up is Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation. My favorite new holiday movie has to be Elf though.
Safetysuit - Life Left To Go
I’ve gotta say it’s probably Owl City
Chamillionaire – Venom. I know it’s not out yet, but I am anticipating that will be the worst CD of 2009 and 2010 put together. That song Good Morning is proof enough.
30 Seconds to Mars – This Is War. That song Kings and Queens is amazing and if the rest of the CD is anything like it, it’ll be great!
We’re actually playing a show in our hometown, Fort Worth, TX. It’ll be a great way to end the year! We’re playing at the Aardvark with my dad’s band The Waltons, who cover anything from Jackson 5 and the Beatles to all sorts of 90s music. This will be our 2nd year to throw our annual “Black and White Ball” on New Years Eve and we’re really excited about it.
Tour with U2 or Tom Petty in 2010!
