Oh yes, she is so boring that all these people are talking about her. Why is she getting press? Because she’s really talented. And yes, she’s a very pretty girl, but that doesn’t mean she’s plastic. I’ve seen Emii live on stage a few times, and her voice is all over youtube (she can obviously sing, there’s no question about that). Saying she sounds like a dying cat is saying a dying cat sounds fucking great, lol!
She sounds even better live then she does on her track which was surprising and nice to see, since so many artists can’t back up their music worth a damn. Glad she’s on her way because she is truly talented, and her songs are great. Emii rocks!
I went w/ carrie and saw emii at SXSW, she was really sick and had a fever but didnt cancel her show, she performed anyways and still sounded better than a lot of people who are on the radio even! she started losing her voice but rocked out anyways, she really is a great artist, i dont want some stupid lip syncer or autotuned poser, i want REAL and EMII is REAL!!!! i give her mad cred for still rockin out even though she was sick too, i’ve been to sooo many shows that were cancelled last minute because the artist is sick… boohoo… emii doesnt flake out and still rocks.. she’s great!
I looked her up on YouTube. She sounds boring and generic…like some American Idol contestant. Who cares??? Give me a female artist who plays an instrument and writes her own material…not another chick who just wants to get on stage in a skimpy outfit and belt boring pop songs. YAWNNNNNN.
@John Emii is an ACTUAL artist. If you actually looked then you’d see that she does write and she does play instruments… and she’s been doing it for a long time. I saw her when she was on tour with Daydream on Autopilot, a few years ago… I think the difference between then and now is that Now, she’s getting exposure to thousands and thousands more people…
….. and within those thousands are people like you who make false assumptions based on very limited knowledge.

@Barb. I was there. I doubt you actually saw the SXSW show, because if you had, you’d know Emii was very sick during that time (and she still performed). It’s a downside of live music, but it’s commendable no less. Perhaps you prefer your plastic packages strung along by industry puppeteers. You won’t find that with Emii.
