The oh-so-controversial Adam Lambert stopped by Ellen earlier this week to perform his new song “Whataya Want From Me.” The track was written by P!nk, Max Martin, and Johan Shellback, and it’s much more toned down than his first single “For Your Entertainment.” Check out the clip below along with his interview where he discusses the now infamous AMA performance.

Adam Lambert’s debut album, For Your Entertainment, is being released on November 23. The 30-second previews to all 14 tracks are out today (track listing below). You can hear all of the “songs” below.

The only positive note here is that he’s no long massacring Johnny Cash.

After seeing the new Rolling Stone cover with “Wild Idol” Adam Lambert as the cover boy we got to thinking… Madonna should totally change the lyrics of “Vogue” to, “Greta Garbo, and Monroe / Deitrich and DiMaggio / Adam Lambert, Jimmy Dean / On the cover of a magazine!”

Check out the amazing cover below. You’ll have to buy the mag to get all the juicy gossip he spilled, but we hear there was talk of Adam’s crush on Idol roommate, and winner, Kris Allen! Oh yeah, and the obvious “coming out” stuff (wow, shocking, Adam Lambert is gay! DUH!)

KRIS ALLEN!!

In perhaps the most shocking American Idol finale ever the newly dubbed Idol was named, and to the surprise of many, it wasn’t Adam Lambert. Ryan Seacrest read the golden envelope and in that moment Kris Allen became 2009’s American Idol taking over David Cook’s 2008 reign. Congratulations go out to both Adam and Kris for a well fought finale.

No Doubt, Daughtry To Rock American Idol

Straight from the American Idol rumor mill… No Doubt and Daughtry will play Idol’s May 6th results show. It has been said that Chris Daughtry will perform “No Surprise” from his forthcoming album. Unfortunately lips are tightly sealed on what Gwen Stefani and co. will rock the crowd with. If we hear anything, we promise you’ll be the first to know.

In other American Idol news, next week’s mentor will be the legendary SLASH! Most of us know him from Guns ‘N Roses, and later Velvet Revolver but the digital age may know him as one of the Guitar Bosses from Guitar Hero III. With an axe weilder like SLASH it makes perfect sense that the theme on the Idol stage will be ROCK!!!

Our no-brainer predictions are Allison and Adam will bring down the house!
