“Alejandro”

Lady Gaga recruited fashion photographer Steven Klein, best known for his work with Madonna, to make his music video directorial debut on her latest effort.  Gaga appeared on CNN’s Larry King Live last week to screen the first teaser of the “Alejandro” video, which she described to the veteran talk show host as having a “homoerotic, military theme.”

Anyways…check out a new interview with Extra where she discusses the immense love for her fans and the upcoming video for “Alejandro.”  Gaga seems super normal and down-to-earth in this interview which we love.

Despite the sloppy editing job on the performance that aired, which was chopped down to meet time constraints, fans and critics alike thought her stellar stage show which included an extended “Bad Romance” piano intro was… muy caliente!!

Love it or hate it, it’s a totally original take on the hit which is really what a “cover” should be.  I also like that they ditch the “Rah Rah…” and “free bitch” lines and stick with the lyrics that actually kinda work for them.

Now, can someone PLEASE take this song and make a Youtube slide show with stills of Jordan Catalano and Angela Chase??  Baddest romance of 1994!

Ms. Gaga turned 24 over the weekend, and we can’t believe how HUGE she’s become at such a young age.  Girl’s gotta slow down a bit so she can keep cranking out the hits for years to come!

Video analytics company Visible Measures curates a list of videos called the “100 Million Club,” which includes all web videos that have exceeded 100 million views. Lady Gaga has long been a staple of the chart, holding 3 of the spots in the 65 video list, but now she’s set a record of her own: She’s the first franchise to reach one billion views.

The mega-videos that claimed her that recognition are “Poker Face” (374,606,128), “Just Dance” (272,941,674) and “Bad Romance” (360,020,327) which add up to over 1 billion views.  But if its lonely at the top, Gaga needn’t worry… she may soon be joined by the Twilight saga which is close behind at 980 million and Soulja Boy at 860 million.

Next stop… a trillion!

After the premiere, Gaga will dissect the inspiration behind “Telephone” and explain how she has been able to out-do herself yet again exclusively to Ryan Seacrest.  The video will make its online debut at midnight that evening on VEVO.com and LadyGaga.com.
