My Life As Liz Actress Or Reality Star

my life as lizMTV’s latest show, My Life As Liz, certainly has a lot of people talking. Unfortunately the chatter around the water cooler isn’t as volcanic as it is for Jersey Shore but nevertheless the mouths are running. So what’s this show all about? It’s about Liz, a high-school senior who happens to be lower on the popularity totem pole. No Abercrombie, Coach, or popped collars on this chick … nope, Liz is “indie” which I guess equals not cool in her school. Liz isn’t the typical girly-girl rather a comic book reading, loud music listening, hair dying, snake loving, vegan and self-proclaimed nerd — Yes, anyone else in America would just call her a HIPSTER!

The thing about My Life As Liz that no one can figure out is, is this show reality or is it just a cleverly shot sitcom? Our money is on sitcom because Liz is a cute girl with lots of spunk and not the nerdy troll MTV makes her out to be. In fact, is it just us our does Liz look like the third Veronica (you know, of The Veronicas — see pic below).

Will we continue to watch the show? The jury is still out. Parts of us hate it, and parts of us can’t help but recall our own nerdy high school existence. Let’s be real more of us are nerds than popular.. and for that reason we have high hopes for this show, real or not.

my life as liz = clarissa explains it all + my so called life + freaks and geeks – authenticity.

but for an mtv show its not terrible.

  2. Jolie says:

I love the show. Though I do think she’s a far cry from being a nerd, I watch mostly for the little budding romance between her and her crush. I prefer it over Jersy Shore (I have yet to watch it).

  3. Maddie says:

This is a show that teens can actually relate to! I love it, liz is just so clever and shes so funny, how could you not love this show? Fake or not this is a fantastic show and i hope more seasons are to come!

  4. MelissaAwesome says:

Michelle — I don’t think that this show is anywhere near My So Called Life or Clarissa Explains it all — those are CLASSICS!!!! However, maybe for this generation. I don’t know though. Where’s this show’s Jordan?

  5. lisa says:

I love this show and I’m 25 yrs old lol. My teenage yrs were awkward as well and I was a nerd (still am!) and wasn’t popular. But I love how nowadays nerds are just seen as hipsters mostly. It’s now cool to be a nerd and that makes my heart warm and tingley lol

  6. Kristin says:

I’m 18 and I love this show:) I can really relate, I wasn’t popular either in high school but I don’t care. I’m in college now and so glad to be done with high school. Liz is awesome:)

  7. Heather says:

I think this show is TERRIBLE!!! I think we all know and understand the pain of high school without having to live it through Liz’s whiney “reality show.” After watching only one episode, I was more depressed than when I was actually IN high school. MTV just keeps pumping out the garbage for America’s youth… it’s bad enough Jersey Shore is still on the air

  8. oldgirl says:

I’m 34, and I like this show, remind me how I used to be in highschool

  9. Caitie says:

I hate Jersey Shore, clarissa explains it all and my so-called life. But this is pretty okay. She’s a far cry from “alternative” (I mean she lives in a mansion and used to be a cheerleader). But overall, I like her weird style. I guess this is MTV’s version of an Indie chick character though?

  10. Bon Qui Qui says:

I don’t think that pic looks anything like her. U people need to stop whining and wondering whether it’s a real show or not, just wath the show and enjoy it

  11. Who Craig? says:

All I have to say is who the f*ck is this girl and why does she have a tv show? I mean god MTV that’s why I stopped watching a looooong time ago. I’m 19 (just turned) and I feel ashamed for my generation having to watch this garbage I mean who else areyou going to give a show to, middle school kids? There’s really no other cliques you haven’t given shows to. My generation has been tapped.. I’m so glad you’re changing the name.

  12. miss little says:

i think that the show has its real parts and its scripted parts. im a sophmore in high school, and dont really fit in as mouch as the other chicks. im different, theres certin things that i can relate to in the show. like the light spaber fights, and the fights with the “popular” crowd. i dont really hang with girls, guys are a simplier gender to navigate. who cares if the shows real or not, its tv. dont you remember when you would watch something you werent supposed to when you were little and your mom would say “Honey not everything on tv is real.” Wake up and smell the pie.

  13. Alice says:

First of all, everything on MTV is scripted whether you like it or not. Second of all, that Liz girl is so annoying and are so stereotypical you can puke right on the screen. Can MTV stop making such stupid conversational shows?

  14. karen says:

I think the show is great. You are pretty and I love your red hair. You need too check into Lewis HOT-HOT DAMN !!!!!

  15. MTV just keeps pumping out the garbage for America’s youth… it’s bad enough Jersey Shore is still on the air

  16. Giulia says:

Even if the show isnt real, what’s the problem with that? It’s just a stupid show, if you hate it so much just turn off the tv and do something else. I personally have fun watching it, in my opinion it’s a nice way to spend my time when I have nothing else to do. Don’t take it so seriously.

  17. Tanya says:

I’m 32 and I must admit…I am hooked on the show! I tivo it every week and cant wait to watch it. I never took it as a real life, but either way, its a great show!
and as far as getting compared to Jersey Shore…its nothing like it in the least!

  18. Thanks for the concepts you write about through your blog. In addition, numerous young women which become pregnant tend not to even attempt to get medical health insurance because they have anxiety they couldn’t qualify. Although many states at this point require that insurers present coverage despite the pre-existing conditions. Costs on these guaranteed plans are usually greater, but when considering the high cost of health care bills it may be any safer approach to take to protect a person’s financial future.

  19. Liz says:

I believe this show is all staged, but I don’t care I still watch it. It reminds me in ways of what I used to be in high school, I’m 25 now. I was never popular. Had only a few good friends like “Liz” has, therefore it keeps me entertained. Do I care weather it’s real or not, no and really no one should either. If you find it entertaining watch it, if not then don’t it’s as simple as that. I mean Jersey Shore is on and it seems like 95% of Americans watch it (I don’t). But I don’t sit here or elsewhere and criticize what a pointless show that is, I simply don’t watch. I don’t get to watch it when it comes on tv, but when I get the time later in the week I watch on mtv.com.

My life as Liz is nothing like Jersey Shore.

on a side note: Mtv in my high school days was all about music, not about reality tv, they should really change the name. It shouldn’t be called music television anymore.

Call different locksmiths to see if they have experience with this model safe (Sentry S6520?). Otherwise, contact the manufacturer with as many details as possible. This model has three combinations. Master, User, Manufacturer. We have this one at our church.
